Avisek was born in a spiritually inclined family in the city named Chittaranjan close to Kolkata (India) on 29th December 1980. Presently he is a resident of (Timisoara) Romania.

LEARNING EXPERIENCE

A brief note on Avi’s Learning Experience –

Avi was introduced to the different Yogic practices as a part of lifestyle during his childhood. During his high school days he was initiated into the practice of ‘Dhyana’ (Meditation) (1994). He started practicing intermediate level of ‘Asana & Pranayama’ (postures & breathing) during early days of 1996. In 1998 he started learning ‘Higher forms of Meditations’ under the guidance of some senior Monks of Rama Krishna Mission, (One of the oldest spiritual schools of India). This was the time when he was completing his formal education, Diploma in Electronics & Communication engineering (1998 -2002). In the year 2000 he was initiated into Mantra Yoga by Sw. Gahananandaji Maharaj, President Rama Krishna Mission, Belur Math. In the year 2001 he started practicing Asana & Pranayama for senior level Yoga Competitions. In 2002 he was rated as one of the “Best Yoga demonstrator” at the EASTERN INDIA YOGA CHAMPIONSHIP. In 2002 he completed his First level in Reiki. He also had close association with Bihar School of Yoga (one of the oldest traditional monastery devoted to teach the science of Yoga) since 1998. He was initiated in Jignasu Sanyasa (pre monk hood) by his Guru Sw Niranjanananda Saraswati, of Bihar School of Yoga in 2003.During this time he also complited his formal Yogic course ‘Certificate in Yogic studies’ from Bihar School of Yoga. In the year 2004 he completed his Ayurveda Massage Training Course from International Yoga Vedanta Center, Kerala & First Aid course from St John Ambulance, New Delhi. In 2005 he learnt ‘Kundalini Yoga’ under the direct guidance of Sw ParanJyoti Maharaj of Universal Peace Foundation. In the same Year he completed his Yoga Teacher’s Training Course from Sivananda Ashram, India. In 2006 He got his ‘Diploma in Thai Foot Reflexology’ from Thai Massage School of Chang Mai, Hong Kong.
